New Electricity Meters Stir Fears

             New electricity meters was introduced by Pacific Gas and Electric’s campaign facing opposition from left-leaning individuals. There are two significance that those electricity meters may threaten their privacy and health. According to the Obama administration and the industry envision, the goal of installing meters is to help utilities allocate how much energy they consume so they will have incentive to use less. In addition , environmental health campaigners discover that meters will emit radiation like cellphones and other common devices which would be a health threat. In my point of view, I disagree to install those meters because of those potential hazards. Although some research shows that there is no connection between health problems and common levels of electromagnetic radiation , I agree that the meters should not be installed until they are proved safe. Furthermore , privacy is another thing I concern with. If the information of consuming energy is stolen through the Wifi transmission , those information may be used in an inappropriate way. That’s why people feel fear about their safety. In a word , I totally oppose the installation of meters.

introduction of myself

                  Hallo everyone !!!   Welcome to the Francis's blog. 


            It is the first post in my blog. So, let me introduce myself first. As you know, my name is Francis and my chinese name is 黃競彥 . I was born in Macau and live there for seventheen years. Ask you a question : Do you know where is Macau?  As some of my friends are not come from China ,they may not know where it is. Anyways, Macau locates on the south of China.  If you go to Macau by ship from Hong Kong ,it just only takes one hour. Besides, I come from single parent family.  My dad passed away when i was six.  I have a younger brother and he is sixteen now.  My Mom is a teacher in  secondary school . Although my family is not affluent , I can feel the warm inside the family.

            I can speak Cantonese and a little bit Mandarin  . I live in the dorm so it is so close to the school, My favorite subject is accounting .  Unfortunately, I can not take it because  the english level is not high enough .  My least favorite subject is humanity. My goal is to get a enough GPA to enter the Texas University.  My friends in Macau called me "potato" in Chinese . As the pronunciation of Francis is so similar to potato. I really like photography so I always search the newest information about the DSLR . I hope one day i can afford to buy one but it is still have a long way to go.
